Item Information
Item # 1:   ( 909  -  22 )   Redevelopment of the Municipal Yacht Harbor Marina, which was damaged beyond repair by Hurricane Katrina. A new resilient floating marina will be developed based on current market demand and will meet current codes and standards for construction. The scope of the project will include floating, concrete docks and piers, steel piles, wood finger piers, new utilities, signage and the life safety equipment, land-based access points, restroom and storage facilities. Demolition of existing dock, partial demolition of bulkhead, parking lot demolition, dredging material (uncontaminated) and onsite disposal, removal of sunken vessels and debris from marina bottom, East parking lot regrading, repaving, curbing, striping, sidewalks and fencing, floating docks with gangways and accessories, rehabilitation of Pier 1 and new fender system at Pier 1 and 5, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire Protection for Comfort Station and Docks, Bulkheads, tie-rods, deadman and select backfill and railing, 3 fixed platforms with railing, Comfort Station structure and architectural components.
